Sanner Pics

About a year ago, I had Tim Sanner build me a frame with some characteristics that I couldn't find in an off-the-rack bike. In no particular order, I wanted 1 1/8h threadless headset, horizontal drop-outs, lugs, cantilever brakes, and clearance for BIG tires. This last aspect was important, I wanted a bike in the spirit of the Rough Riders. The above photo shows 700x38mm with fenders, and there is plenty of clearance.
Tim did a phenomenal job with the braze-ons and cable routing. Everything goes along to top tube, which makes for a clean look when the Sanner is dressed as a single speed. I also dig that the cable stop that is brazed onto the left seat stay - it's not quite an Ibis Handjob, but close. The Tektro cantilevers stop better than any other cantilever or v-brake that I've ever tried. I love them; instant lock-out if I need it, but they modulate well and work great with the road levers.

Here is a full side view of the Sanner. I'm running a 46 chainring and a 17t freewheel, which turns out to be perfect for the flatlands of Louisiana.
Here is a close-up of the rear drop-out. There is plenty of room for chain tension adjustment, and I love the clean look of the eyelets. There is also a derailleur hanger so that I can run it with gears.
Last shot for now, but I wanted to mention the stem. This was an older Steelman stem that Tim had powdercoated when he did the frameset. I left plenty of spacers so that I could get those handlebars up high. The geometry is nothing too fancy; it is nearly identical to the geometry of the Bridgestone RB-T, with the exception of a longer wheelbase (mainly the chainstays).
